With every collection of frames one should tell the story needing to be shared and remembered, without additional narrative. Natural light.
Dramatic colour and shadow.
Inspiration for live music photography came from the much revered era of the 70s and 80s when "classic" was fading and something new was waiting to be captured. The world was smaller. There was more "focus" in every
sense of the word. Theres some challenges now in a more connected world, but there is always going to be a
Hendrix guitar or a Clash cover waiting to be shot. Think thats what still motivates so many music shooters today. For me, taking a portrait is as much about the experience of making a new friend, as it is capturing the image to help always remember the occasion. It cannot be rushed and it should always be treasured.
